The Instabug interview loop for engineering roles
Instabug is one of the most rigorous engineering interviews in Egypt. Here's the full loop and how to prep for each stage.

TL;DR 5 rounds over 3-5 weeks: recruiter screen, technical screen (LeetCode medium), take-home, virtual onsite (2 technical + 1 behavioral). Bar is FAANG-adjacent.
Technical screen 45 minutes on a shared editor. One LeetCode medium (array/string/hash-map). You're evaluated on correctness, communication, and edge-case handling. Practice LC medium for 2-3 weeks before you apply if you haven't recently.
Take-home Small project (usually mobile SDK-related). Budget 4-8 hours. Evaluated on code structure, testing, and README quality. Ship a good README.
Virtual onsite 3 rounds. Two technical (one system design at senior levels, one deep coding), one behavioral. Behavioral leans on ownership and cross-team collaboration. STAR works.
What Instabug specifically wants Product sense (this is an SDK company — they want engineers who think about developer UX). Written communication (documented decisions, clear PRs). Comfort with mobile (iOS or Android context helps even for non-mobile roles).
Comp expectations EGP 30k-100k+ mid-level depending on tier and years. Signing bonus and stock (Instabug has real equity value for tenured employees) are negotiable.
